Ryan MacInnis has been named the Kitchener Rangers 51st captain in franchise history.
The 19-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri was drafted by the Rangers in the third round of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.
"It's an honour to be named captain of an organization with such a rich history like the Kitchener Rangers," said MacInnis.
"To be mentioned in the same category as so many great leaders who have played here and worn the 'C', it's something I take great pride in."
Over parts of three seasons in a Rangers uniform, MacInnis has tallied 62 goals and 82 assists for 144 points in 164 regular season games, as well as three goals and five assists for eight points in six career playoff games.
Selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the second round, 43rd overall in the 2014 NHL Draft, MacInnis is ranked 65th all-time in regular season goals and 68th in points in Kitchener Rangers franchise history.
