Philadelphia Union II News Release
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - With a five-game unbeaten streak, Bethlehem Steel FC look to extend it to six this Sunday against the Harrisburg City Islanders. Steel FC will travel to Lancaster, Pa. to face the City Islanders at 6 p.m. at Clipper Magazine Stadium. The game will be available via live stream on the Bethlehem Steel FC website.
Sunday's match will be the first encounter between Harrisburg, the former USL affiliate to the Union, and the Union's owned-and-operated 2016 expansion side Bethlehem Steel FC. Steel FC enter the match after winning against FC Montreal 2-1 last weekend with Ryan Richter and Derrick Jones both scoring penalties to secure the victory.
Bethlehem Steel will be without Eric Ayuk for Sunday's match, who is with the U-20 Cameroon National Team as they face Zimbabwe in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers. Cory Burke, who missed the beginning of the season, returned to squad for the game against FC Montreal earning the team a penalty moments after entering the match. Burke will be available for selection in Sunday's game.
Harrisburg are currently on a three game winless streak and come into this game after a 3-2 loss against Charleston. With only seven points earned thus far, Harrisburg sit in 12th place in the Eastern Conference and only two above last place FC Montreal.
