OKC Energy FC News Release
SAN ANTONIO - Colin Bonner scored his first goal as a member of Energy FC and Cody Laurendi made six saves as OKC shut out San Antonio FC and increased its current unbeaten streak to six games Saturday night at Toyota Field.
In the 59th minute, OKC's Sebastian Dalgaard carried the ball into the lower-right corner of the San Antonio box and fed a cross in front to Bonner, who headed a shot past San Antonio FC keeper Josh Ford for the game's deciding goal. The goal was Bonner's first since joining OKC in early May.
Laurendi made several key saves to preserve the win for Energy FC, including stops on two point-blank San Antonio chances and two more on wide-open San Antonio shots from within the OKC box.
Coy Craft led Energy FC with five shots on the match, including a strike that glanced off the San Antonio crossbar early in the first half.
The win was OKC's first road victory and third clean sheet of the 2016 season.
Energy FC next returns home where it will face Real Monarchs SLC at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Taft Stadium, completing a string of four games in 10 days.
