Predators Trade Leipsic to Toronto

Milwaukee, WI-- Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has traded Brendan Leipsic, along with first-round pick and Olli Jokinen to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Admiral Alums Cody Franson and Mike Santorelli.

Leipsic was second on the Admirals, and fourth among AHL rookies, with 35 points (7g-28a). Selected as an AHL All-Star, Leipsic topped the club with 28 assists and 13 power-play helpers, while playing in 47 contests.

The Admirals return to the ice this afternoon when they host the Lake Erie Monsters at 3 pm.
