Predators recall Klein from Admirals

Milwaukee, WI-Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Kevin Klein from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. In addition, the Admirals announced that they have recalled forward Nicolas Corbeil from the Rockford IceHogs of the United Hockey League.

Klein has 14 points (4g-10a) and 45 penalty minutes in 44 games with Milwaukee this season. The 6-1, 195-pound defenseman has appeared in three games with Nashville this season, scoring his first NHL goal in the Predators' 3-1 victory over Chicago on Jan. 26. The Kitchener, Ont. native led Admirals defensemen in scoring (10g-33a-43pt) and ranked 13th among AHL blueliners in points last season. Klein was originally Nashville's third choice, 37th overall (second round), in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Corbeil has an assist in two games with the Admirals this season. The Laval, PQ native has picked up 37 points (17g-20a) and 52 penalty minutes this season with the IceHogs.

The Admirals are back in action on Thursday morning when they play an 11:00 contest at Houston in the first of a home-and-home series with the Aeros.
