Bloomington-Normal's only professional winter sports team, PrairieThunder Hockey, plays their first home game at U.S. Cellular Coliseum since January 23rd on Friday night against the Mississippi RiverKings. The PrairieThunder heads into the weekend with a record of 24-16-2, which places them in fourth place in the Central Hockey League's Turner (Northern) Conference. Bloomington is one point behind third place Quad City and eight points behind co-leaders Colorado and Rapid City.
