PrairieThunder Mascot "Chip" to Appear at Day of Dance

The Bloomington PrairieThunder's mascot, "Chip", will be appearing at Heartland Community College's "Day of Dance" this Saturday, February 26th, from 9am-10am. The event starts at 8am and will take place in Heartland's Workforce Development Center located at 1500 W. Raab Road.

Local celebrities will compete in Bloomington-Normal's own "Dance-Off of the Stars," just one of the new features of the fourth annual "Day of Dance" event, sponsored by Advocate BroMenn Spirit of Women and Heartland Community College. The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 26 from 8 a.m. to noon in Heartland's Workforce Development Center, 1500 W. Raab Road, in Normal.

Day of Dance for Heart Health© is an interactive community event celebrating the benefits of dance and exercise in the prevention of heart disease, the number one killer of women. Spirit of Women hospitals across the country will be participating in this national event to inspire women to take action to protect their heart and health.

Admission to the event is one or more non-perishable food item per person, or a cash donation at the door to the Midwest Food Bank.
