
PrairieThunder Defeats Fort Wayne 4-3 on Saturday Night

The Bloomington PrairieThunder won their third in a row in Fort Wayne, Indiana this season, defeating the Komets 4-3 on Saturday night. Bloomington (21-13-2) got goals from Jamie Lovell, Brett Holmberg, Jason Dale, and Garrett Klotz. Klotz scored the game winner at 18:14 of the third period. It was his fifth goal as a PrairieThunder. Bloomington goaltender Brad Phillips stopped 25 of 28 shots for the victory and held off a 6 on 4 Komets power play in the last ten seconds of the game when PThunder defenseman Travis Granbois was sent off for a board checking penalty.
The PrairieThunder and Komets have now played five games this season and neither club has won on their home ice. Bloomington is 3-0-0 in Fort Wayne while the Komets are 2-0 in Bloomington. With the loss, the Komets fall to 13-18-5 on the CHL season.
Bloomington's next home game is Sunday evening (1/23) when they host the Colorado Eagles at a special 6:05pm start at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
