Radio: Power Baseball Network and wvpower.com

TONIGHT'S MATCHUPs

Game One: RH Jameson Taillon (2-1, 3.32) vs. RH Jay Rogers (2-4, 2.98)

Game Two: RH Brooks Pounders (5-0, 2.45) vs. RH Robert Morey (3-5, 5.90)

POWER REPLAY: West Virginia lost 5-0 at Greensboro last night. The Power were held to one hit and a total of two base runners during the game. Tyler Waldron allowed five runs over four innings and took the loss. The Hoppers scored three in the first and two in the fourth to back Kyle Winters in the win.

ROSTER IN FLUX: The Pittsburgh Pirates made a series of moves Sunday to bolster the West Virginia bullpen after Saturday's 15 inning contest at Lakewood. Colton Cain and Porfirio Lopez were shifted off the Power roster and placed in Extended Spring Training, and left-handers Justin Ennis and Orlando Castro were added to the West Virginia roster from Extended. Ennis was drafted by Pittsburgh last year, and appeared in three games for the Power late last season. Castro was signed in 2009 and pitched for Chivacoa in the Venezuelan League in 2010.

SAL ALL-STARS: Brandon Cumpton, Dan Grovatt, and Jameson Taillon were selected to represent the Power in the 2011 South Atlantic League All-Star Game in June 21. Cumpton is 6-4 this season with a 5.11 ERA, but steam rolled though May with a 6-0 record and a 1.18 earned run average. Grovatt is batting .297 over 53 games with one home runs and 21 runs batted in. Taillon, the second overall pick in the 2010 draft, is 2-1 with a 3.71 earned run average during his first professional season.

HISTORY WITH THE 'HOPPERS: West Virginia continues its five-game, four-day series at Greensboro with a twinbill tonight. The Power and Grasshoppers meet 14 more times during the 2011 season, including eight games at Appalachian Power Park. West Virginia holds the all-time edge in the series with 51 wins over 80 games, including a 24-16 advantage on the road. The doubleheader tonight was scheduled to make up the May 3 rainout in Charleston.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS: Rogelio Noris hit 15 home runs for West Virginia during the 2010 season and has added five to that total so far this season. Stephen Chapman holds the single-season record with 24, which is also the most by any player during his respective stint with West Virginia. Noris is tied for third all-time in Power history with 19 career home runs, matching Kyle Morgan (2009-10), and trailing only Chapman and Kenny Holmberg (22 home runs over two seasons).

PINPOINT CONTROL: West Virginia pitchers have combined to walk just 131 batters this season, the fewest in the SAL. Power pitchers have also walked the fewest batters in all of professional baseball.

BENSCKO OFF: The Pirates transferred outfielder Justin Benscko off the Power roster earlier today and shifted him to the New York-Penn League. Benscko was placed on the West Virginia disabled list at the outset of the season, and he never appeared in a game for the Power. He is now one of three outfielders on the State College roster.

POWER POINTS: Elias Diaz has his six-game hitting streak snapped last night. Diaz hit .400 during the streak, his longest of the season... Justin Howard's 13-game road on-base streak was stopped with an 0-3 Monday night... Jameson Taillon has had two of his nine professional starts suspended due to weather (April 27 versus Hagerstown and last Thursday at Lakewood)... Saturday's game was the Power's fourth extra inning game of the season. West Virginia is 1-3 in extra inning games, having only won in extras on Friday.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: This Pirates beat the Mets 3-1 at PNC Park. Paul Maholm got the win as Pittsburgh moved within a game of .500 again... Indianapolis lost 2-0 to Gwinnett... Altoona did not play... Bradenton dropped a 5-3 final at Fort Myers.

ON THE AIR: All 140 West Virginia Power games can be heard on ESPN 104.5 FM and 1490 AM in Charleston, WV, across the state on the Power Radio Network, and online at milb.com. Adam Marco will call the action for each of the 70 home games this season, while the home team will provide coverage while the Power are on the road.
