POWER REPLAY: West Virginia rallied for a 9-8 win against Kannapolis on Monday night. The Power trailed 6-2 after three innings and 8-2 after six and a half. The Power plated two in the home half of the seventh, and tallied five in bottom of the eighth to claim the win. Rogelios Noris, who pinch hit for Dan Grovatt in the seventh, tripled in two runs to give West Virginia the lead. Zach Foster pitched the final two innings to gain the win.

RALLY TIME: West Virginia's victory last night was their first late inning rally of the season. The Power had been 0-15 when trailing after six innings in any scheduled nine-inning game this season prior to Monday. Conversely, West Virginia is now 13-0 when leading after eight innings (during a game scheduled for nine).

POWER V LEGENDS: West Virginia has played Lexington more than any other team dating back to the 2005 season. The Power lead the all-time series 61-57, and have the edge at Applebee's Park in Lexington, winning 34 of 59 games. The Legends, however, hold a 32-27 record at Appalachian Power Park. West Virginia won the 2010 season set 9-8.

QUARTER MILE POST: On Sunday, the Power played their 35th game of the 2011 season, putting them one quarter of the way through the schedule. Even at 17-18, the Power were off to their best start in their brief affiliation with the Pittsburgh Pirates, dating back to 2009. The 2010 club was 15-20 after 35 games, were batting .236, and held a staff ERA of 3.70. The 2009 version were 12-23 with a .256 average, and a 3.42 earned run average. This edition held a team batting average of .262 and a team ERA of 4.06 after 35 games.

THREE DOWN & THREE UP: Brandon Cumpton won his third straight decision with Saturday's win. The right-hander lost his first three starts of the season and held a 17.72 ERA after those appearances. Cumpton made one relief appearance and returned to the rotation when Tyler Waldron was placed on the disabled list in late April. Since his return to the rotation, Cumpton is 3-0 with a 1.62 ERA over 16 and two-thirds innings pitched

ANOTHER STOPPED AT SIX: Andy Vasquez had his hitting streak stopped at six straight with an 0-3 performance on Sunday. Vasquez matched Matt Curry, Justin Howard, and Kawika Emsley-Pai for the longest Power hitting streak this season. Vasquez batted .333 over his six game streak with a home run and eight runs batted in. He has also driven in at least one run in each of his last four games prior to Sunday.

OFF TO A BETTER START: The Power have won two straight series openers with a win a Charleston on Monday and the win against Kannapolis Friday. West Virginia is 3-6 in their nine series opening games, and 3-1 over the last four after having started 0-5 during the first game of each series this season.

POWER POINTS: West Virginia's five game home winning streak was snapped on Sunday. It was the longest home winning streak of the season... The Power have already matched their April win total despite having played eight fewer games. West Virginia is 9-5 this month after going 9-13 last month.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh lost 4-2 at Washington in their series opener...Indianapolis fell 5-2 at Columbus... Altoona did not play... Bradenton bested Clearwater 3-1. Evan Chambers drove in two with his first home run of the season.
