Potential Friday Championship Game for High Point Rockers

High Point Rockers News Release
The High Point Rockers are in the thick of the Atlantic League's South Division pennant race. With two games remaining in the first half, the Rockers go into tonight's game at Southern Maryland trailing the Gastonia Honey Hunters by one game.
IF the Rockers win on Thursday night at So. Maryland, that would make Friday's Gastonia at High Point game the equivalent of a first half South Division championship game. The winner of Friday's game would be crowned first half champion and would earn a spot in the postseason playoffs. Friday's gametime is set for 6:35 p.m. at Truist Point. There will be a fireworks show following the game.
The first half champion will be allowed to select where they want to open the playoffs.
