TEAM NOTES:
The Dynamo and Sporting Kansas City were tied 0-0 at halftime. It was the third time this season that Houston went into halftime level with their opponent. The Dynamo are now 2-0-1 in those games.
The Dynamo conceded the first goal of the game when Sporting FW Yohan Croizet scored in the 63rd minute. It was the seventh time this season that Houston gave up the first goal of the game, and they are now 2-3-2 in those games.
Sporting Kansas City had the better of possession in the game, holding the ball for 53.5 percent of the contest. It was the seventh time this season that Houston had less of the ball than their opponent, and they are now 4-2-1 in those matches.
The Dynamo outshot Sporting 15-5 in the contest. It was the seventh time this season that Houston outshot its opponent, and they are now 5-0-2 in those matches.
The Dynamo used their 11th different starting combination in 13 matches this season.

DF A.J. DeLaGarza played in his 250th career game in MLS regular-season action.
FW Alberth Elis eclipsed 5,000 career minutes played in MLS regular-season contests. He reached the milestone in the 79th minute.

INDIVIDUAL PLAYER NOTES:
FW Alberth Elis scored his fifth goal of the season and the 26th of his career when he netted the equalizer in the 69th minute.
Elis reached 5,000 minutes played in his MLS career in the 79th minute of tonight's match. He entered the game with 4,921 minutes played to date.
Elis returned to the starting lineup after missing last weekend's game with a concussion. He made his 12th appearance and 11th start of the year, and the 68th appearance and 55th start of his MLS career.
DF A.J. DeLaGarza recorded his first assist of the game when he headed a ball to FW Alberth Elis, who side-volleyed the ball into the net to equalize the match. It was his eighth career assist and first since Sept. 27, 2017 vs. the LA Galaxy.
DeLaGarza made his 12th start of the 2019 MLS season today. It will be DeLaGarza's 242nd career start in league play.
DF Maynor Figueroa was credited with a secondary assist when his cross to DF A.J. DeLaGarza was headed on to FW Alberth Elis, who put the ball away with a side volley. It was his second assist of the season and the fourth of his MLS career.
Figueroa had 104 touches in the game, which was the most by a Dynamo player this season, surpassing his own previous high of 99 vs. Columbus on April 27.
Figueroa's 93 passes attempted were the most by a Dynamo player this season, topping his own previous high of 82 vs. Columbus on April 27.
Figueroa completed 80 of his 93 passes, which was the most passes completed by a Houston player this season. The previous high was 67 by Figueroa vs. Montreal on March 9.
Figueroa returned to the starting lineup for the first time since May 15 vs. Portland. It was Figueroa's 10th appearance and 10th start for the Dynamo, and his 90th career appearance in MLS regular-season play.
MF Boniek GarcÃa made his 182nd appearance in MLS regular-season play tonight.
GarcÃa wore the captain's armband for the 11th time this season and will make his 12th start of the year.
FW Marlon Hairston made his eighth appearance of the season for the Dynamo and his 103rd career appearance when he came on for FW Mauro Manotas in the 87th minute.
DF Adam Lundkvist made his 11th appearance - and start - of the season tonight and his 28th league appearance for the Dynamo.
Lundkvist tied a career high with three fouls committed in the game. The last time he had three fouls in a game was on June 9, 2018 vs. Colorado.
FW Mauro Manotas made his 110th career appearance in league play for the Dynamo and his 77th career start.
MF Tomás MartÃnez started his 12th game of the season and the 49th of his MLS career.
MF Tommy McNamara made his 105th career appearance in all competitions and extended his streak of playing in every game in all competitions for the Dynamo this season when he came into the game for MF Tomás MartÃnez in the 78th minute.
FW Romell Quioto made his fourth start of the season today and his ninth league appearance for the Dynamo this year.
MF Memo Rodriguez made his 12th appearance of the year and his fourth off the bench when he entered the game in place of FW Romell Quioto in the 74th minute.
DF Kiki Struna started his 11th game in league play for the Dynamo. It was his 14th start and 14th appearance for the club in all competitions this season.
MF MatÃas Vera made his 12th start of the season and his 16th in 17 matches across all competitions this year.
GK Joe Willis made his 96th career start in MLS regular-season play and his 74th with the Dynamo. It was Willis' 98th career appearance in league play.
