
Post All-Star Break Begins For Rockford

Peoria, Ill.- The unofficial beginning of the second half of the 2007-08 regular season starts tonight for the Rockford IceHogs as they travel to Peoria to take on the Rivermen at Carver Arena. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
Rockford will try to avenge a 6-1 thrashing by the Rivermen at the Rockford MetroCentre on Jan. 23. Overall this season, the West Division leading IceHogs (29-11-3-5) are 2-1-1-0 against the Rivermen (28-13-4-3) including 2-0-1-0 in Peoria. After tonight Rockford and Peoria will meet three more times at the MetroCentre.
During the AHL's annual All-Star break, the IceHogs received forwards Dave Bolland, David Koci and Kris Versteeg from the Chicago Blackhawks while forwards Martin St. Pierre and Jack Skille and defenseman Jordan Hendry were all recalled to the Hawks.
Tonight's game is the first of back-to-back games on the road for Rockford. The IceHogs will conclude Week 18 of '07-08 regular season in Chicago against Wolves tomorrow night.
