The Spitfires have dealt defenceman Saverio Posa to the Guelph Storm in exchange for a draft pick. In return, Windsor gets Saginaw's 4th round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.

"I'd like to thank Saverio for all his dedication to the Windsor Spitfires organization," said Spitfires President and Head Coach Bob Boughner. "He's been a great teammate and leader for our organization. He leaves here as a Memorial Cup champion. We wish him nothing but the best moving foward."

Posa, 21, has played 207 career OHL regular season games, all with Windsor, since entering the league back in 2009.

He is the last remaining member of the 2010 club that won the Memorial Cup.

"Saverio is a great example of how hard work and dedication can pay off," said General Manager Warren Rychel. "He came in here four years ago as a 15th round pick and became a fan favourite, a leader and a champion."
