Hawks Happenings On The Ice:
The Winterhawks will be making their seventh consecutive playoff appearance with a first round series against the Everett Silvertips. The Hawks went 5-4-1-0 against Everett in 10 regular season meetings, with defenseman Caleb Jones leading the way with nine points in the season series. Everett was paced by six points each from Devon Skoleski and Remi Laurencelle.
The two teams were evenly matched during the season series, with six of the 10 games decided by one goal, and three decided by two goals. The last four games were all 3-2 scores, and eight times in 10 games the winning team had three goals or fewer.
This series will mark the fifth playoff meeting between the Winterhawks and Silvertips. The Hawks have won three of the previous four series, including last year's second round matchup, which Portland won in five games to advance to the Western Conference Final. 2004-05 U.S. Division First Round: Everett won 4-32010-11 Western Conference Quarter Final: Portland won 4-02012-13 Western Conference Quarter Final: Portland won 4-2
2014-15 Western Conference Semi-Final: Portland won 4-1
Hawks Happenings Off The Ice:
Tickets are on sale now for Games 3 and 4 of the series, which the Hawks will host at the Moda Center. Game 3 will be Tuesday, March 29 at 7 p.m., and Game 4 will be Wednesday, March 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at Winterhawks.com, the Rose Quarter box office and the Winterhawks' ticket office located inside Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
