February 3, 2010 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Portland Timbers News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - On the heels of Wednesday's final city council approval that allowed for the renovation to PGE Park and the arrival of Major League Soccer (MLS) in Portland in 2011, the Portland Timbers announced today they are accepting season ticket deposits for their inaugural 2011 MLS season as the team launches Phase III of ticket procurement.
The Timbers, who were awarded MLS' 18th franchise on March 20, 2009, are offering fans a number of options to secure season tickets for the team's inaugural MLS season in 2011.
To purchase season tickets for the 2010 Timbers season or to make a $50 per-seat deposit towards 2011 MLS season tickets, call (503) 553-5555 or go to www.PortlandMLS2011.com.
The priority system is as follows:
Portland MLS 2011 Season Ticket Priority System
1. Individuals who purchase 2010 Timbers full-season tickets will have top priority for 2011 MLS season seat selection.
2. Individuals who purchase 2010 Timbers half-season and flex-plan ticket packages will receive second priority for 2011 MLS season seat selection.
3. Those not purchasing 2010 Timbers ticket packages described above can place a $50 deposit per seat for priority status behind Timbers full-season, half-season and flex-plan holders.
Fans are encouraged to secure 2011 season tickets as early as possible, as priority for seat selection will be determined by order of purchase and season ticket tenure.
Similarly, business and entertainment suite-holders for the 2010 season will have first priority to secure suites for the Timbers' inaugural MLS season. For more information on business and entertainment suites, phone (503) 553-5432.
Leading into their inaugural MLS season, the Timbers will field a USL First Division team in 2010. For information on Timbers ticket plans available for the 2010 season, visit www.PortlandMLS2011.com or www.portlandtimbers.com.
