Sioux City Musketeers News Release
Sioux City Musketeers scout Thomas Plante will become a member of the Seattle Kraken's inaugural scouting and analytics department, the team announced on Friday.
"Tommy's work ethic, attention to detail and passion will suit him well in his new challenge," Sioux City general manager Andy Johnson said, "The Musketeers are a development organization for staff as well as players and we wish him well with Seattle."
Plante, an Illinois native, has been with the Musketeers for the past three seasons since graduating from the University of Minnesota.
"Working in Sioux City was excellent for my development," Plante said, "I was fortunate to have the opportunity to handle analytics and then also transition in to a role on an elite scouting staff, a group that challenged me and my interpretation of the game of hockey."
Plante joins a team of eleven newly-hired scouting and analytics staffers put together by Seattle general manager Ron Francis from across the United States and Europe.
