Rome, GA - The Rome Braves lost to the Asheville Tourists 12-2 Saturday night in front of a crowd of 3,290 fans. The Tourists have outscored the Braves 23-3 in the past two games. Asheville put the Braves in the hole early, scoring three runs in the top of the first. Weber pegged lead off hitter, Delta Cleary, Jr. and allowed three straight singles by Trevor Story, Taylor Featherson and an RBI single by Harold Riggins before recording an out. Asheville's two additional runs came on a ground out by David Kandilas and sacrifice fly by Brian Humphries to put the Tourists up 3-0. Asheville would score eleven more times before the Braves could muster a single hit, which came in the bottom of the fifth as Will Skinner doubled through the hole at shortstop. Rome would eventually score a run in the sixth after Cory Brownsten doubled and moved to third on a wild pitch. He later scored on a Jakob Dalfonso groundout for the 11-1 score. Kyle Kubitza homered in the seventh to make it an 11-2 game. The Tourists would plate one more run in the eighth for the 12-2 final.

Ben Alsup (6-1) took a no hitter into the fifth and would finish the night allowing only three hits and one run in seven innings of work for Asheville. Rome's Ryan Weber (1-1) would be chased after just two innings and would be charged with the loss.
