LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Nathan Karns dominated in a seven-inning complete game that propelled the Hagerstown Suns to a Game 1 victory, 7-1.

The BlueClaws could manage just one run and one hit in the game while Karns struck out 10 batters.

Hagerstown scored four runs in the 3rd inning to take a 4-0 lead which they would not relinquish. Lakewood scored one run in the 4th inning on a Kelly Dugan double that scored Gauntlett Eldemire, but Hagerstown scored three more runs to win Game 1 of the double-header, 7-1.

Game 2: LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Lakewood scored five runs in their previous four losses, but put up seven runs in a 7-5 win in Game 2 of Saturday's double-header.

Kyrell Hudson's two-run home run capped a five-run 2nd inning which gave Lakewood an early 5-0 lead. Hudson's homerun was his first in 147 at-bats this season and was just the second of his professional career. He would add an RBI groundout in the 6th inning for an insurance run to finish the ballgame 1-for-3 with a run, three RBI and a homer.

The BlueClaws and Suns conclude their six-game series Sunday with Game 6 at FirstEnergy Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. with fireworks to follow courtesy of Toyota/Scion World of Lakewood.
