Bradenton, FL - In a pitchers duel from McKechnie Field, The Marauders (26-22) swept their doubleheader with the St. Lucie Mets (25-23), winning game two by a final of 1-0.

Making just his second start of the season, RHP Jose Regalado ( 0-1, 3.91 ERA) went 5 innings giving no runs, 3 hits and a walk while striking out 3.

Mets right-hander Kevin McGowan (0-0, 1.00 ERA) pitched 4 scoreless innings allowing only 3 hits and a walk while striking out 2.

Both teams had highlight-reel plays on the defensive side to keep the game scoreless.

The Marauders offense broke through in the seventh inning. Pablo Reyes (2-for-3, 2B, R) led the inning off with a double. Elvis Escobar (0-for-2, SAC) bunted Reyes to third, then Chase Simpson (1-for-2, RBI, SF, 2B) drove in Reyes with a sacrifice fly to give the Marauders a 1-0 lead.

UP NEXT: The Marauders play game three tomorrow of their four-game series with the Mets ... RHP Austin Col- ey (6-3, 3.33 ERA) gets the ball for the Marauders... RHP Ricky Knapp (5-2, 1.64 ERA) is slated to start for the Mets... First pitch is at 6:30 p.m.
