
Pitchers Return To Lynx Roster

OTTAWA - RHP Jason Anderson and RHP Bubba Nelson return to the Lynx from Double-A Reading today. RHP Brian Sanches has been recalled by Philadelphia while OF Pedro Swann has been transferred to Double-A Reading.
LHP Fabio Castro has been optioned to the Lynx from the Phillies. He has not yet reported to the Lynx and has 72 hours to do so.
Anderson, 28, was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 19 games with the Lynx, including two starts. He was 2-1 with a 2.79 ERA in 13 appearances out of the Reading bullpen. He has a career record of 41-29 with a 3.26 ERA and 34 saves in seven Minor League seasons.
Nelson, 25, was 3-7 with a 5.09 ERA in 11 games in the Lynx rotation. With Reading, Nelson was 2-1 with a 1.89 ERA and one save in 20 games, including three starts.
Castro, 22, made his first Major League start last night against the L.A. Dodgers, allowing only one run and striking out four over five innings. He is 5-5 with a 3.76 ERA in 20 games with the Lynx, including six starts. He was with the Phillies earlier this season, compiling no record with a 6.63 ERA in six games in the Major Leagues, including his start yesterday against Los Angeles. Castro also played 11 games with Double-A Reading. He was 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA out of the R-Phils bullpen.
Sanches, 29, leads the Lynx with 16 saves. He has accumulated a 2-3 record with a 4.75 ERA in 36 games with Ottawa, including one start. Sanches has struck out 52 batters and walked only eight. He has also made 11 appearances with the Phillies this season, going 1-1 with a 6.39 ERA.
Swann, 36, carries a .244 average with five home runs and 22 runs batted in over 68 games with the Lynx. This won't be his first trip to Reading, as he is hitting .243 with two home runs and 12 runs batted in over 21 games with the R-Phils.
