Citibank Ballpark, NY- Andy High and Pedro Borbon Jr exchanged outs until the top of the seventh inning when Chad Gambill stepped to the plate. With two outs on the board, Gambill hit a bullet over the left-center wall for his ninth HR on the season, and the first run of the game.
With the Surf on top 1-0, Andy High fell victim to the Ducks "small ball game". The Ducks took the lead with timely hitting, Great bunts, and even a surprising squeeze play that brought home the go-ahead run.
The Surf tied the game up in the eighth inning as Jose Velazquez hit a sacrifice fly to center field which scored Ric Johnson. Johnson had singled with one out on the board, Jackson Doubled to put runners in scoring position, and Juan Thomas was put on base to face Velazquez.
The Game was tied going into the eighth inning, but the Ducks started a rally, scored two more runs, and held on for the 4-2 win.
Borbon was taken out of the game with it all tied up, so relief pitcher Tim Burton got the win, and Andy High got the tough loss.
