New Jersey Jackals News Release
The New Jersey Jackals and North Shore Spirit were suspended after the sixth inning by rain with the score tied 6-6.
Today's game will be completed tomorrow, starting at 5:05 pm, with the regularly scheduled nine-inning game to follow.
The Jackals fell behind 6-2, but rallied to plate four runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the score. Chris Rowan led off the inning with a solo homer to left field to pull New Jersey to within three. Two batters later John Anderson walked and Joe Kerrigan followed with a single to put two runners on for Darren Blakely. The Jackals right fielder then smacked a triple down the right field line, his second of the game, scoring both Anderson and Kerrigan. Later, Travis Bailey's fielder's choice would bring home Blakely, knotting the score at 6-6.
Blakely is 2-for-3 with two RBI while North Shore's Eddie Muth hit a two run single in the top half of the fifth to make the score 6-2.
