Traverse City, MI - On Wednesday, the Pit Spitter offense erupted for 11 runs on eight hits as they continue their winning streak to start the season, beating the Rockford Rivets 11-1.

Pitching is off to an unreal start to the season, posting just one earned run through three games. Starter Morgan Lunceford went four innings of one hit ball tallying four strikeouts. The San Diego commit fared well against college veterans in his first action of the season, not allowing an earned run.

Daniel Carter (1-0, 0.00 ERA) picked up the win, dealing one inning on the mound. Carter, Corbin Morrison, Anthony Ramirez, Spencer Vainavicz and Coby Greiner all made their season debuts, pitching one inning apiece.

Trey Truitt led the offense. Truitt tripled home Colin Summerhill and Aidan Brewer in the second, giving his team a 3-1 lead. He added another triple in the sixth and a single in the eighth for a 3-5, three RBI performance.

Christian Faust and Chris Monroe each had multi-hit games as well. Faust had two RBI's while Monroe, Michael Stygles, Johannes Haakenson and Camden Traficante picked up one RBI apiece.

Truitt and Brewer extended their hitting streaks to three games. Faust increased his streak to two.

As a team, Traverse City stole eight bases. Faust, Haakenson and Summerhill each swiped two.
