Bouck's fifth goal of the year was assisted by Colton Fretter and Kenny MacAulay at the 1:46 mark of the third period and tied the game at 1. The game stayed tied through the end of regulation, setting up an overtime showdown before the All-Star break.

In the extra session, Portland prevailed when Tim Kennedy sent a pass to the front of the net from the right circle and put it right on the tape of Mathieu Darche. The veteran redirected it home to give Portland the 2-1 win at the 2:24 mark of overtime. Tim Kennedy and Mike Kostka picked up the assists on Darche's 14th goal of the season.
