Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Senior Vice President and COO Michael Schetzel has announced that when Utah hosts Las Vegas on Saturday, October 28, it will be "Pink In The Rink" at the E-Center. The Huntsman Cancer Foundation and the Mary Kay Ash Foundation will be the recipients of a portion of the ticket sales that evening. In addition, 100 percent of the money raised during the post-game jersey auction will be donated to the two groups.

The ice at the E-Center will be pink for the evening and Jason Christie's Grizzlies will wear pink sweaters.

"We are thrilled to be teaming up with these two organizations for this great cause," said Schetzel. "We are looking forward to a great night at the E-Center."

"Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women, both in Utah and in the nation," said Janet Bingham, President of the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. "But there is hope. The doctors and researchers at Huntsman Cancer Institute are working to make breast cancer a treatable disease, not a death sentence. Support from community organizations like the Utah Grizzlies makes this work possible."

The first 1,500 women attending the game will receive a long sleeved shirt courtesy of Shade Clothing. In addition, the first 5,000 women arriving at the E-Center will receive a tote bag filled with prizes provided by the Shane Company.

Key Bank, Tunex, Wal-Mart and FM 100 also are proud to be sponsoring this special evening of breast cancer awareness.

The game will start at 7:05 p.m. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call (801) 988-PUCK or visit UtahGrizzlies.com.
