The Halifax Mooseheads announced today details for their Pink in the Rink IV event which will be held next Friday, October 21st when the Memorial Cup Champion Saint John Sea Dogs visit Moose Country for a 7pm puck drop. The Chronicle Herald will be the presenting sponsor for the event.

The Mooseheads are again taking their efforts to ice level to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Atlantic. The Club will paint the Metro Centre ice pink as well as wear special pink Halifax Mooseheads jerseys for this special game.

"Pink in the Rink with the Mooseheads is an event our players, fans, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Atlantic, and our entire organization looks forward to each season ", stated Brian Urquhart, Halifax Mooseheads Vice President Business Operations. "This year we hope to approach the $60,000 mark for funds raised for Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Atlantic in 4 years through this event."

How you can help'

Raffle tickets will be sold at the event on 20 of the pink game-worn Mooseheads jerseys and given away on-ice at the conclusion of the game. Pink Mooseheads t-shirts and toques will also be for sale at Antlers Merchandise Store and at the Antlers Kiosk next to Subway. Corporate Pink Packs of 25 game tickets are being sold for $250 to corporations and groups interested in taking in the event and supporting the cause with their staff. The proceeds from the jersey raffle tickets, t-shirts, toques and Pink Packs will all go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Atlantic. Fans are also encouraged to wear pink to the game to show their support for the cause.

The Sea Dogs, who sit atop the Maritimes Division with 7-4 record, have won 7 of their last 8 games and boast a star-studded lineup that's back to defend their Memorial Cup title. Saint John boasts three players on their roster that were selected in the 1st round of the 2012 NHL Draft which included Jonathan Huberdeau (3rd overall, Florida), Nathan Beaulieu (17th overall, Montreal) and Zack Phillips (28th overall, Minnesota).
