Pink Ice Makes Stockton Debut

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder in conjunction with the Stockton Arena announced today that Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 9:00 a.m. the pink ice will be installed for this weekend's Thunder Goes Pink events at the Stockton Arena.

Thunder Goes Pink presented by St. Joseph's Medical Center in association with Pacific Car Wash and Golden Bear Insurance Company will use the two Thunder home games this weekend to spotlight and raise funds to support breast cancer awareness.

In addition to the pink ice, Thunder players will wear specially designed warm-up jerseys which will be auctioned off to raise money for the St. Joseph's Foundation Mobile Mammography Unit and American Cancer Society - Stockton Field Office.

Special promotional giveaways including pink hats for the first 2,000 ladies, pink glow sticks for the first 3,000 children 12 and under, pink cheer cards for everyone in attendance and 5,000 pink ribbon window clings will be distributed each night.

The Thunder faces the Long Beach Ice Dogs on Friday, November 3 and takes on the Phoenix RoadRunners on Saturday, November 4, with both games starting 7:30 p.m. at Stockton Arena.
