
Pimentel Added to South Division All-Star Team

FRISCO, TEXAS (June 21, 2012)-'Riders right-handed pitcher Carlos Pimentel has been added to the South Division All-Star roster. The announcement was made Thursday afternoon by Texas League President Tom Kayser. Pimentel takes the place of ex-Rider Justin Grimm, who made his major league debut on Saturday with the Rangers. This is Pimentel's first TL All-Star selection.
Pimentel, 22, enter Thursday night's action at 6-2, with a 2.58 ERA. He has pitched in 17 games this year, including six as a starter. In 52.1 IP he has allowed 36 hits. This is Pimentel's second full season with Frisco.
The right-hander joins fellow 'Riders Jake Brigham, Barret Loux, Chad Bell, Jurickson Profar, Mike Olt, Zach Zaneski, and Engel Beltre on the South Division club. The game will be played at the home of the Tulsa Drillers, ONEOK Field, on Thursday June 28. First pitch is slated for 7:05.
