FRISCO, TEXAS (JUNE 21, 2012) - Frisco RoughRiders infielders Mike Olt and Jurickson Profar have been named to the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game to be played at Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium on Sunday, July 8. This will be Profar's (World Roster) second straight year playing in the game and the first for Olt (U.S. Roster). Yesterday, RoughRiders manager Steve Buechele was named a coach for the World squad.

Olt, 23, is a Texas League All-Star and earlier this season was named the Rangers' "Minor League Player of the Month" for May. In 67 games with the RoughRiders, the third baseman is batting .308 with 20 home runs, 13 doubles, a triple and 58 RBI. Olt leads the Texas League in home runs, slugging (.605), and intentional walks (5); ranks second in average, extra-base hits (34), and total bases (153); ranks among league leaders in on-base percentage (3rd, .415), walks (3rd, 44), and runs (4th, 46). His 20 homers are tied for the fourth-most in all of minor league baseball and most of any player below the Triple-A level, while his 1.020 OPS figure ranks sixth among Minor League players. Olt was named the Texas League's "Player of the Week" for May 28 - June 2 after he belted two home runs in three consecutive games.

Profar, 19, is the second-youngest player on either roster for the second consecutive year (only Cleveland shortstop Francsico Lindor, 18, is younger this year). The Texas League's "TOPPS Player of the Month" for May and a Texas League All-Star, the Curacaoian shortstop is batting .295 with seven home runs, 17 doubles, six triples and 32 RBI in 68 games this season for Frisco. The switch-hitter ranks among Texas League leaders in triples (T-2nd), runs (3rd, 48), total bases (5th, 129), hits (5th), extra-base hits (T-5th, 30), doubles (T-6th), average (8th), OPS (8th, .856), and sac flies (T-1st, 5). Earlier this season, he had a hit streak of 29 games as well as a 50-game on-base streak.

The SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game will be aired live on ESPN2, ESPN2 HD and MLB.TV and can be heard on SiriusXM. The game will begin at 4 p.m. CDT and is part of the All-Star festivities to be held at Kauffman Stadium. Eighty-eight players have competed in both the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. In 2011, 30 Major League All-Stars were alumni of the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game.
