
Pigs Drop Finale to Indians, 5-2

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (21-37) fell to the Indianapolis Indians (35-23) by a score of 5-2 on Sunday afternoon at Coca-Cola Park.
Trailing 4-1, Lehigh Valley had the bases loaded with one out in the home half of the eighth and Dom Brown at the plate but LHP Bobby LaFromboise (1.0 IP, 2 H, R, ER) was able to get Brown to ground into a 3-6-3 double play to end the inning. Brian Bogusevic plated the lone run in the inning with a pinch-hit RBI single to extend his hitting streak to 10 games.
Jaff Decker gave the Indians a 1-0 lead in the top of the second with a long solo shot to right. It was the first home run of the season for Decker.
Indianapolis tacked on a run in the fourth against Pigs starter Chris Leroux as Decker drew a one-out walk, went to second on a passed ball and scored on Elias Diaz's RBI double to give the visitors a 2-0 lead.
Leroux (0-2) tossed five innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits while walking a pair and striking out four.
In the top of the seventh, Alen Hanson hit a two-run shot to left off of Pigs LHP Nick Hill (2.0 IP, H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, K) to extend the Indians lead to 4-0. It was the fourth home run of the season for Hanson.
RHP Adrian Sampson (6-3) allowed three hits over seven scoreless frames while walking one and fanning six for manager Dean Treanor's squad.
RHP Deolis Guerra (0.2 IP, K) recorded the final two outs for Indianapolis in the ninth to notch his third save of the year.
The Indians added a run in the top of the ninth to open up a 5-1 advantage as Gorkys Hernandez got aboard with a one out walk, stole second and scored on Gustavo Nunez's RBI double.
In the home half of the ninth, Chris McGuiness (1-3, HR, RBI, R) hit his first home run of the season for the IronPigs, which cut the deficit to 5-2.
In his first International League appearance since June 11, 2013, LHP Jake Diekman (1.0 IP, H, BB, K) tossed a scoreless inning for Lehigh Valley.
Jordan Danks (2-4) had a pair of hits on the afternoon for the Pigs.
The IronPigs begin a four-game series at the Durham Bulls on Monday night at 7:05 p.m. from Durham Bulls Athletic Park. LHP Joely Rodriguez (2-5, 5.76) gets the start for the Pigs against Bulls RHP Matt Buschmann (5-4, 3.15).
