Picard Reassigned to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (October 26, 2006) -The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned left wing Alexandre Picard to Syracuse.

Picard, 21, appeared in one game with Columbus this season without recording any points. In six games with Syracuse this season, Picard recorded 2 goals and 12 penalty minutes. In 45 games with Syracuse last season, Picard tallied 15 goals, 15 assists and 54 penalty minutes. A native of Les Saules, Quebec, Picard was drafted by Columbus in the first round, 8th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft.

The Crunch host the Rochester Americans on Friday, October 27 and the Binghamton Senators on Saturday, October 28.
