Coyotes Recall LeNeveu From San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (October 26, 2006) - The Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday recalled goaltender David LeNeveu from the San Antonio Rampage - the Coyotes' top minor league affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, goaltender Mike Morrison, who cleared waivers today, has been assigned to San Antonio.

LeNeveu, who was named to AHL Canadian All-Star Team in 2004, has registered a 1-4-0 record, 3.92 goals-against average (GAA), and a .887 save percentage (SV%) in six games with the Rampage this season. The 23-year-old who finished last year with the Rampage ranking third among AHL goaltenders in save percentage (.921) departs San Antonio ranking second among AHL netminders in saves (165) and minutes (321).

Morrison, 27, will be available to play tonight when the Rampage host the Peoria Rivermen at the AT&T Center at 7 p.m. Morrison has collected a record of 0-3-0, 6.14 GAA, and .790 SV% in four appearances with the Coyotes this season.
