Phillips Re-signs, Havoc To Host Preseason Game

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach, John Gibson, announced today that the team has re-signed forward Luke Phillips.

"I am sure the fans will be glad to see Luke on board for another season, I don't know if I can say the same for our opponents. He is one of the best agitators in the league and doesn't back down from anyone. As a returning fourth year player his leadership skills on and off the ice will be instrumental for us to have a successful season."

Phillips (5-7, 205) played in 45 games last season and scored eight goals and recorded 11 assists. He was second in the SPHL in penalty minutes with 317 and tied for second in majors with 25. He has played in 190 career regular season games and scored 42 goals and recorded 26 assists. He has amassed 1,269 penalty minutes.

"I am really looking forward to this season," Phillips said. "We have a great core of returners coming back and this is shaping up to be one of the best teams we've had. We are ready to get back out on the ice and win a championship."

The Havoc will be hosting the Jacksonville Barracudas in a preseason game on Friday, October 19 at 7:30 on CenturyTel Ice at the Von Braun Center. Tickets are $10.00 each and seating is all general admission. Tickets will go on sale October 3 at the Von Braun Center Box Office.

The first home game for the Havoc is set for Saturday, November 3 at 7:30 on CenturyTel Ice at the Von Braun Center.
