Philadelphia Union News Release

Chester, Pa. (March 22, 2012) - Philadelphia Union has announced a star studded line-up of talent for their television and radio platforms this season, a cast that includes experts from broadcast partners 6abc, Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network and SportsRadio 610WIP, local and national media outlets, as well as local and international soccer personalities.

JP Dellacamera and Philadelphia soccer pioneer Bob Rigby return to call all the action for all 22 games broadcast on 6abc, Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network. A long time commentator of both ABC and ESPN's Major League Soccer broadcasts, Dellacamera enters his third season as the Union's play by play commentator, while Rigby, formerly the club's sideline reporter, makes the move to full time color commentator this season.

6abc sports anchor Keith Russell will serve as sideline reporter for all three 6abc broadcasts, while sideline reporting on games shown on Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network will be done by a rotation of former soccer pros. The complete line-up will be announced at a later date.

The Union's weekly magazine show entitled "State of the Union," which airs on Friday nights on The Comcast Network and Comcast SportsNet returns for its second season. Air times are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on The Comcast Network and 11:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet, beginning this Friday, March 23. Hosts Amy Fadool, Rigby and the Philadelphia Daily News' Union writer Kerith Gabriel will provide viewers an in-depth look at the team on and off the pitch with player features, game highlights and analysis.

MLS veteran radio and television announcer Tony Limarzi will serve as host for the Union's first ever live radio broadcasts on 610WIP. Formerly the radio play-by-play announcer for D.C. United, Limarzi also works with Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic hosting "D.C. United Central" and "D.C. United Postgame Live" and is also the play-by-play announcer for the University of Maryland Men's Soccer team. He also works with the NBA's Washington Wizards as a studio host for Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic.

610WIP and the Union will be broadcasting between 12-17 games towards the middle to end of the season, the exact schedule of which should be released in the coming weeks.

The club's radio platform will also feature a weekly show, entitled "The 90th Minute," which will be hosted by Gabriel and former local television personality Carl Cherkin. The show will be live at various locations throughout the tri-state area and will feature player and coaches interviews, highlights and analysis, as well as a weekly segment from Fox Sports.com soccer writer Ives Galarcep. The show is slated to begin in mid April and run through the end of the MLS season.
