Chivas USA Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary of "Chivas at the Park"

CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, March 22, 2012) - Chivas USA will celebrate the fifth anniversary and official kick-off of "Chivas at the Park" this Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Expo Center Park in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Mayor's office and the Department of Recreation and Parks.

What started as a conversation between Chivas USA's President and Co-Owner Antonio Cue and Los Angeles City Major Antonio Villaraigosa, continues to be a great sports experience for thousands of boys and girls. In its 5th year, the program has seen the participation of over 20,000 children in its soccer clinic series. This Saturday will kick-off the first of 15 clinics programmed for the series this season throughout the City of Los Angeles.

Participants will have the opportunity to train with Chivas USA coaches for only a $5 registration fee. The program will include: a 90-minute soccer clinic; 1 Chivas at the Park T-Shirt, and 2 Tickets to a Chivas USA home game. Other surprises include, Chivas USA player appearances, dance sessions led by the ChivaGirls, ChivaFighter mascot, prizes and fun for the whole family.
