CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union resumed MLS play with a 2-2 draw against Austin FC on Saturday night at Q2 stadium. Midfielder Daniel Gazdag opened up the scoring by converting a penalty kick in the 14th minute, becoming the first player in MLS history to convert each of his first 20 penalty-kicks taken from the start of his MLS career. Austin responded in the 56th minute with a header from Diego Rubio. In the 58th minute, Austin extended their lead with a goal from Jon Gallagher. Union forward Mikael Uhre found the back of the net in the 65th minute to secure a point on the road.
The Union are back on the road at Providence Park to play against the Portland Timbers on Saturday, March 23rd (10:30 p.m. ET / Apple TV).
