Sioux City-----Sioux Falls scored an unearned run in the eighth inning as the Explorers lost to the Pheasants 4-3 at Lewis and Clark Park.

It was the second straight defeat at the hands to Sioux Falls. Francisco Leandro led off the eighth inning for Sioux Falls with a triple to right centerfield. The relay throw from the X's Ryan Priddy hit Leandro in the back and the ball went into the stands, allowing Leandro to score, which proved to be the winning run. Moore picked up the win while Marotz received a no-decision.

The Explorers had nine hits, but left ten runners on base, five of those in scoring position. Wally Backman, Jr. led the Explorers with three hits, including two doubles.
