Pheasants Pound Out To 20 Hits To Down Diablos

El Paso Diablos News Release

EL PASO, TX- One night after a 12-run El paso victory, the Sioux Falls Pheasants returned the favor with one of their own, beating the Diablos at Cohen Stadium by a final of 14-2.

Sioux Falls scored in each of the first four innings off Diablos starter Reyes Dorado, who surrendered seven runs on eleven hits in taking his fifth loss of the year and third since joining the starting rotation.

Every Pheasants starter except for two had an RBI as Sioux Falls approached but fell just short of their season highs in both runs and hits.

The big inning for the visitors was the seventh, when Tim Adleman struggled to record an elusive third out. Seven runs scored, all after two were out, putting the game out of reach.

The Diablos were also stymied at the plate by Rod Scurry, who echoed Scott Hodsdon's effort from the previous night with a complete game, giving up just two runs on seven hits in beating El Paso for the second time this season.

J.J. Muse knocked in both Diablos runs and went 1-for-4 at the plate.

The Diablos will play their second-to-last game of the season on Sunday, taking on the Pheasants at 6:00 p.m. (MST).
