YOUNGSTOWN, OH - PHANTOMS TRADE GOALTENDER MOR TO OMAHA YOUNGSTOWN, OH - The Youngstown Phantoms have announced that they have traded goaltender Jon Mor to the Omaha Lancers of the USHL in exchange for two 2019 USHL draft picks.

Jon Mor was in his first season with the Phantoms and had played in fourteen games with the club and went 4-6 with a 3.57 goals against average and .880 save percentage while wearing the purple and orange.

Jon Mor spent two seasons with the Chicago Young Americans U16 AAA program in the HPHL before joining the U18 USA National Team Development Program for the 2017-2018 season in the USHL. Mor had previously been acquired by the Phantoms as free agent addition to their USHL Affiliate List in the summer of 2016.

"We have had three goaltenders here the last seven weeks and that is not something that is best for the goalies or the team as we move forward into 2019," said Phantoms' General Manager Jason Koehler. "An opportunity came where we had the ability to get Jon Mor into a good situation with Omaha where he has the ability to play and develop, we could get down to two goaltenders which is best for us, and we could add two draft picks for the future - we feel this is a move that benefits all parties involved. Jon was a great person and teammate while in Youngstown and we wish him the best moving forward in his playing career in Omaha."

In exchange for Jon Mor, the Phantoms have acquired Omaha's 9th Round Phase I 2019 Draft Pick and re-acquired their own 8th Round 2019 Phase II pick which was previously sent to Cedar Rapids as part of the Dalton Messina and Matthew Thomson trade in January 2018.
