SIOUX CITY, IA - A three-point night from Matt Barry and 27 saves from Wouter Peeters helped the Youngstown Phantoms (19-15-4-1, 43 points) down the Sioux City Musketeers 4-2 Saturday night at the Tyson Events Center.

"Top to bottom, guys contributed in the game," said Phantoms Head Coach Brad Patterson. "I really liked our effort and execution."

Youngstown struck twice in the opening period to take a 2-0 lead. Chase Gresock found Barry alone along the goal line at 5:19 and Barry finished upstairs on Matt Jurusik (28 saves) to put the Phantoms ahead 1-0. Later in the period, Barry stole a clearing pass along the left-wing wall, walked in on net, and slid the puck through Jurusik's five hole for his 11th of the year to give Youngstown the two-goal advantage. The first-year player out of Naperville, Illinois has 32 assists to go with those 11 goals, giving him a team-leading 43 points on the year and tying him for third in the USHL in scoring. "(Matt) makes the people around him better," said Patterson. "He's been doing that for us all year."

Sioux City scored the lone goal of the second period, a power play blast from Sampo Ranta at 13:51, but Youngstown answered back with a power play goal of their own at 4:25 of the third. Barry found a wide-open Tommy Parrottino on the back door, and Parrottino fired home the one-timer into an empty cage for his 11th goal of the season to put Youngstown back in front by two.

Sioux City cut the Phantoms lead back to one at 3-2 when Micah Miller banged home a rebound at 13:15, but Mike Regush scored on the empty net at 19:52 to make up the final margin and preserve his seven-game scoring streak.

Youngstown wraps up this four-game road trip earning six of a possible eight points and is now tied for second in the Eastern Conference after sliding into seventh a few weeks ago. The Phantoms will open up a five-game homestand on Tuesday, starting with a matchup against the Central Illinois Flying Aces on Tuesday night. Puck drop at the Covelli Centre Tuesday night is scheduled for 7:05pm Eastern and the game will be broadcast on YPHR and HockeyTV.
