Phantoms Involved In Local Charities This Holiday Season

GLENS FALLS, NY - The Adirondack Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced today that over the next two weeks Phantoms players and staff, as well as Global Spectrum (management company for the Glens Falls Civic Center), will be supporting a variety of local charity and community efforts, such as the Phantoms/Q-101.7 FM Winter Coat Collection, the Salvation Army Toy Drive and more.

The Phantoms and their flagship radio station Q-101.7 FM are teaming up to collect winter coats from Wednesday, November 25th through Saturday, December 12th. Anyone who drops off an adult or children's winter coat at the Glens Falls Civic Center Box Office or the Q-101.7 FM studio will receive a voucher for $3.00 off an adult ticket to the December 13th game versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. All donations will be given to the United Way, who will then distribute these coats to families in need this upcoming winter.

On Saturday, December 5th as the Phantoms host the Albany River Rats for Round 4 of the Time Warner Cable Cup Series, the United States Marines will be collecting for their holiday charity Toys for Tots. Anyone who brings a new unwrapped toy to the December 5th TWC Cup game with the will receive $3.00 off an adult ticket to the December 13th game versus Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

On Saturday, December 12th as the Phantoms host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Adirondack is asking all fans to help the Salvation Army "Be An Angel" Toy Drive. Any fan who brings a new unwrapped toy to that game will not only be helping out a wonderful charity, but also will receive a voucher redeemable for $3.00 off an adult ticket to the Sunday, December 13th game against the Penguins.

Adirondack will also be running a holiday food drive from now until December 18th. Each generous Phantoms fan who donates a non-perishable food item at the Glens Falls Civic Center will receive $3.00 off an adult ticket for the December 18th game against the Hamilton Bulldogs. All food items collected will be donated by the Phantoms to the Community Christmas Breakfast at Christ Church United Methodist.
