Petes Win Third Straight, Second of Season against Oshawa

(Peterborough, ON) - Mason McTavish scored twice and Hunter Jones made 34 saves in a 3-2 Petes road win over the Oshawa Generals on Friday night. The win improves Peterborough's record to 23-7-1-1, including a 2-0 record versus Oshawa.

McTavish (19, 20) moved into tenth in OHL goal scoring and became the first rookie in the Canadian Hockey League to reach 20 goals on the season. Declan Chisholm added his sixth of the year.

Matt McNamara registered two assists, while John Parker-Jones and Max Grondin each had single helpers.

In his return to the Petes, Hunter Jones became the first OHL netminder to record 20 wins this season.

Final shots were 36-30 in favour of the Generals. Peterborough's seventh ranked power play was 0/3 and their sixth ranked penalty kill was 7/8.

Fans are reminded that the Petes game scheduled for Saturday, December 14 against the Niagara IceDogs has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Petes will play their final game before the holiday break on Thursday, December 19 against the Oshawa Generals at 7:05pm at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
