Peterborough Petes News Release
(Peterborough, ON) - The Peterborough Petes are excited to be recognizing deserving local minor hockey players with 'Player of the Week' awards.
Each week the Petes will recognize one of their own players, along with players from the PMHC, PHA, PGHA, and local adaptive hockey organizations. Selected recipients will receive tickets to an upcoming Petes game, social media recognition, a certificate of recognition, and other prizes.
Peterborough Petes Player of the Week: Semyon Der-Arguchintsev
During OHL Opening Week last week, Der-Arguchintsev registered three assists as the Petes skated to a 6-4 victory against the London Knights in their season opener before putting up four assists in a 9-6 loss to the Windsor Spitfires, for a total of seven assists in two games.
The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect currently sits first in the Ontario Hockey League in points, assists, and power play points, and is OHL 'On the Run' Player of the week.
Minor Hockey Player of the Week: Ethan Campbell (PMHC)
Campbell led his Sharps Peterborough Bantam AAA Petes with four goals and to a 5-3 victory over the North York Rangers at the Toronto Red Wings Early Bird Tournament earlier this month.
Minor Hockey Player of the Week: Teegan Delaney (PHA)
Delaney lifted the 180 Hunter Minor Atom AA Petes over the defending OMHA Champion Burlington Eagles Gold with a late goal to give his team a 2-1 win in the final of the Kawartha Lakes AA Tournament.
Minor Hockey Player of the Week: Kaylynn Fisher (PGHA)
Fisher, a defenceman for the Peewee A Ice Kats, works incredibly hard. She is very polite and is welcoming to everyone around her at the rink.
The Petes welcome coaches, volunteers, parents, and other spectators to nominate deserving local minor hockey athletes by filling out this form.
Single game tickets for all Petes regular season home games are now on sale at the PMC Grant Thornton Box office in person, by phone at (705) 743-3561, or online.
