Petes Select Finnish Forward in CHL Import Draft

The Peterborough Petes announced today that General Manager David Reid has selected 5'9" 179lb left winger Jonatan Tanus (Pronounced Yawn-a-ton Tan-oose) from Tappara Finland with the 42nd overall selection in the 2012 CHL Import Draft.

Jonatan is a feisty winger who plays a North American style of game and has the ability to contribute offensively this season with the Petes. Jonatan has international playing experience with Finland at the U17 and U18 tournaments.

"Jonatan is a skilled forward with an excellent hockey IQ and has the ability to play in all situations" says General manager David Reid. "Jonatan possesses the skills to develop into a top forward in the OHL and will be a great addition to our young group of forwards."
