Generals Acquire Teddy Bluegner in CHL Import Draft

Oshawa, Ontario - The Oshawa Generals have drafted centre Teddy Blueger with the 48th overall pick in the 2012 CHL Import Draft.

Blueger hails from Riga, Latvia and played for Latvia at the 2012 World Junior Championships where he had 1 goal and 3 points in 6 games. He also represented Latvia at the World Under-18 Championships in 2012 where he totalled 2 goals and 4 points in 6 games. In 2011 he also represented Latvia in the Under-18 Tournament when the played in Division One, where he totalled 4 goals and 5 points.

6'0" and 171 lbs, Blueger was recently drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins, 52nd overall, in the second round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

A product of Shattuck St. Mary's, Bluegner put up an impressive 24 goals and 88 points in 51 games during the 2011-2012 season.
