Belleville Bulls News Release
BELLEVILLE, ON - In a busy day on the trade front, the Bulls announced another transaction that sees centreman Dylan Corson heading to the Barrie Colts.
Entering his third season in the OHL, Corson has 3 goals and 10 assists in 118 games with the Bulls, also collecting 126 penalty minutes. The 18 year-old native of Toronto was originally a 6th round pick by the Bulls in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.
In return for Corson, the Bulls receive Mississauga's third round pick in 2014 from the Colts.
"Dylan has been a good young player for our program over the past two seasons," said Burnett of the trade. "It was the desire of his family and representation to consider other options under the circumstances with our current depth up front. We've worked hard to make something good happen for both parties and we wish Dylan well in Barrie."
The Colts add Corson to a forward group that could see the graduation of both Mark Scheifele and Tanner Pearson, opening up icetime for developing players under Head Coach Dale Hawerchuk.
In Belleville, the Bulls have wrapped up a flurry of trades over the past 48 hours. "It's been a very busy few days. Many things have been addressed both with respect to our personnel but also to our draft depth at this most important time for our organization. We're very happy to add a young talent to our lineup in Sergey Kuptsov."
