
Petes Fans Toss 1,200 Teddy Bears

(Peterborough, ON, December 11, 2014)- The Peterborough Petes are proud to announce that 1,200 teddy bears were collected in the first period of Thursday night's game against the Niagara IceDogs. Petes fans tossed the teddies after Michael Clarke scored a powerplay goal 7:22 into the opening period, drawing assists from Eric Cornel and Matt Spencer. In addition, Ricky's All Day Grill donated $300 to the Energy 99.7/Country 105 Miracle Christmas Toy Drive in support of the Salvation Army.
The Teddy Bear Toss is a CHL-wide initiative that provides gifts for children in need during the holiday season. The Salvation Army Peterborough Temple Band performed the Canadian National Anthem prior to the game, as well as Christmas carols in the North Lobby.
