Petes Earn Point in Shootout Loss to Frontenacs

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes went to a shootout for the first time this season on Thursday night, and although they fell 4-3, they earned a point to move back into first place in the Ontario Hockey League.

After Kingston opened scoring 27 seconds into the game, Brady Hinz (9), Max Grondin (5), and John Parker-Jones (3) scored three straight goals for the Petes.

The Frontenacs scored late in the second period and again in the third to tie the game, sending the division rivals to overtime and eventually a shootout.

Hudson Wilson registered two assists, while Michael Little, J.R. Avon, Zach Gallant and Tucker Robertson added single helpers.

The Petes were outshot 38-35. Peterborough's fifth ranked power play was 3/3 and their sixth ranked penalty kill was a perfect 3/3.

The Petes close out the week on Saturday, November 23 at 7:05pm as they host the Kitchener Rangers for the only time this season.
