Petes Earn Point against 67's in Overtime

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes earned a point against the OHL's top team Thursday night, falling 3-2 in overtime at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

Ryan Merkley (14) and Chris Paquette (29) scored in regulation for the Petes.

The 67's scored with 15 seconds left in the third period, sending the game to overtime. Marco Rossi scored the game winner for Ottawa with 4:14 into the extra frame.

Cameron Butler, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Adam Timleck, and Declan Chisholm each recorded single assists.

Hunter Jones made 40 save, earning first star honours.

Final shots were 43-20 in favour of Ottawa. The Petes were 1/5 on the power play and 4/4 on the penalty kill.

The Petes continue their weekend with a visit to the Ottawa 67's on Friday, March 15 at 7:00pm. They return to the PMC on Saturday, March 16 to host the Sudbury Wolves at 7:05pm. Tickets are available through the Baker Tilly Box Office in person, over the phone at (705) 743-3561, and online.
